A BENEDICTINE WAY OF THE CROSS

Some years ago we composed a Benedictine Way of the Cross, which we prayed

together. Each Station has a reflection from the Psalms as well as a quotation from

the Rule, and concluded with a prayer.

Lord, hear a cause that is just, pay heed to my cry. Turn your ear to my prayer... From you may my judgment come forth. Your eyes discern the truth... I kept my feet firmly in your paths; there was no faltering in my steps. Psalm 16:1-15 edited.

The third degree of humility is that a man subject himself to his superior in all obedience, imitating the Lord, of whom the apostle says: He was made obedient even unto death. RB 7:3

Prayer:

Forgive me, Lord, for all my unjust acts, and for the times  I have wanted to condemn people out of prejudice.
